My name is Mary. I recently returned from a trip to El Salvador with SHARE. While there, we met with several representatives of CRIPDES. Through them, our group of 3 SHARE representatives, 20 high school students from Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, and 3 chaperones spent 3 incredible days with the people of Las Pampas in San Vicente. On our trip we learned alot about Archbishop Romero, the martyred American churchwomen, El Mozote, the FMLN Museum in Perquin, the Memorial to Truth and Memory in San Salvador, the St. Ramon artisan cooperative, ACAP in San Jacinto, UCA (Dean Brackley), Catholic Relief Services (Rick Jones), and Maria Madre de los Pobres in San Salvador. It was quite a trip! We are trying to "keep the energy of the trip alive" by doing what we can from here to be helpful to the people of El Salvador. Let me know if there's anything we can do.
